Executive Levels International
Candidate FAQs
- How do I update my information? Just go to the registration page and log in. You
can update any information you would like.
- Do I owe Executive Levels a fee to help me with a full time or contract position?
Never. Candidates don’t pay fees.
- What should I bring to an interview? Unless a client specifies otherwise, please
bring the following: resume, references and depending on position you may need to
bring samples of your work.
- What positions do you recruit for? To see a sample list of positions, please refer
to our Technical Recruiting page. This covers contract and full time positions.
- What is your relationship with the mentioned company? The nature of the relationship
between Executive Levels International and our client company, how and when the search
process will be conducted, and the role of the consultant in the search process.
- Why can’t you tell me the name of the company? In some instances we may be conducting
a confidential search. In that case, only qualified candidates who want to be submitted
have the contractual right to know. Those that do not qualify will still remain confidential
in our database.
- I already have an offer I like, can I still apply to a job on the site? Unless you
turn down your other job, it is not fair or ethical to go through the process of
applying for another position. We do not believe in counteroffer situations like
this.
- I am a contractor but don’t want to be a 1099? We offer employer of record services
for just that situation. You can find and work with your own clients and our back
office takes care of the billing etc. You get all of the benefits.
- What about my confidentiality? Discretion is used at all times when the search consultant
shares information about the candidate to a prospective employer. The search consultant
will also honor the candidate’s request that specific information not be disclosed
to the client. Executive Levels will present a candidate’s credentials to those
searches that most closely match his/her qualifications.
- Do I need to be a technical professional to use your employer of record services?
No, any type contract position can be serviced by our back office.
- I submitted my resume but didn’t get a call? You must be aware that due to volume
and the strict qualifications we must adhere to, the recruiter is authorized by the
client company and may choose not to present any candidate based on a professional
judgment that the candidate is not qualified or appropriate for the client company’s
position. Candidates who are not offered the position can expect that their files
will be kept confidential by the search consultant/recruiter.
- Are all of your jobs posted? Not all of our jobs are posted on the website. This
could be due to time constraints, confidentiality or just having multiple positions
in the same technical area that is is why it is extremely important to register so
we know you are out there.
- How much information can I expect to be given regarding your client? You will be
told by the search consultant specific and accurate information about the position
prior to the initial interview. This information will include: job title, company
background, business conditions, reporting relationships, location, and responsibilities
of the positions. Exceptions would be an executive search where more details are
usually given.
- I received and offer and accepted, can I resign? All offers are contingent upon successful
completion of reference checks or special testing as requested by the client company
or by the client company. Reference checks will not be completed without the candidate’s
approval. No action will ever be taken by the search consultant to jeopardize the
candidate’s present position.
- How will I know the status of my submission? You will be kept informed of your candidacy
status in a timely fashion by the consultant.
- Will you contact me after I start my position? You should expect to be contacted
during the first six months after joining our client company to ensure that any adjustment
problems on either side are handled appropriately depending on the type of position.
- You submitted me for a job a while ago and I haven’t heard any feedback. This drives
us crazy also. There are some instances where a client takes much longer than our
agreed upon term. This can be due to changes at the company, changes being made to
the position, vacation schedules etc. We try to stay in touch during this time but
it is also just as important that you communicate with us if anything changes in
your status or availability.
